#NayaRiwaaz is an Investor Education & Awareness Initiative by Invesco Mutual Fund encouraging families to expand traditional festive gifting
by starting a dedicated Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) for their loved ones. By pairing annual festive blessings with long-term, goal-oriented
financial backing, you can help build a strong financial foundation that grows alongside your family's life dreams, whether for higher
education, a business venture, or long-term security.
Yes, you can start a mutual fund folio and SIP in your child's name. The investment account is opened under the minor's name with a parent or court-appointed legal guardian operating the folio until the child turns 18. Contributions can be made seamlessly from the parent/guardian's bank account or a verified bank account held by the minor.
You do not need a large sum to begin building a meaningful fund. You can initiate an SIP with comfortable monthly contributions starting as low as ₹500 or ₹1,000 per month depending on the scheme selected.
Choosing the right fund depends on your target timeline, financial horizon, and risk profile. Long-term goals (7 to 10+ years) generally benefit from equity-oriented growth, while shorter-term goals may be better suited for hybrid or debt-oriented funds.
